Common questions
Quick fixes
Squidge won’t open some of my files
Squidge reads JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF and WebP [CONFIRM FORMAT LIST]. If a file is skipped, check it opens in Preview. Files in protected folders may need you to drop the folder on Squidge again so macOS grants access.
Where did my images go?
Squidge saves new copies to the output folder set in Settings. By default that’s [DEFAULT OUTPUT LOCATION]. Your originals stay where they were.
The colours look different after converting
Squidge converts wide-gamut photos to sRGB so they look the same in every browser. If you need to keep the original colour profile, turn off sRGB conversion in Settings [CONFIRM SETTING NAME].
How do I install Squidge on another Mac?
Open the App Store on the other Mac, sign in with the same Apple Account you bought Squidge with, click your name, then find Squidge under your purchases and download it. There’s no extra charge.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account and choose Squidge.
What do I need to run Squidge?
macOS [VERSION] or later, on Apple silicon or Intel Macs [CONFIRM].
I found a bug or have an idea
Please email [SUPPORT EMAIL] with your macOS version, your Squidge version (Squidge › About Squidge) and, if you can, an example file. Squidge reads every message.
Squidge never uploads your images. Read our privacy policy.
